Help Us Make It Official
The “Running of the Bulls” is organised by the Casa de Misericordia, or House of Mercy, which owns the plaza de toros, or bullring, in Pamplona. One hundred per cent of the profits from the bullfights go to the Casa de Misericordia to support its worthy causes, such as housing the homeless. PETA is calling on the Casa de Misericordia to extend its mercy to all beings and is calling on Pamplona’s mayor to replace the Running of the Bulls with a festive humans-only race.
Please write to the mayor of Pamplona and the Casa de Misericordia using our automatic e-mail form and ask them to replace the traditional Running of the Bulls with a human race and to leave the animals alone. View our sample letter for ideas:

Write a letter to the editor of your local newspaper urging readers not to visit bullfights or support the Running of the Bulls.
Tell friends, family and anyone who might be travelling to Spain, France or Mexico about what really happens to the bulls. Refer to these facts in your letters.
Please invite everyone to join us in Spain for the Running of the Nudes using our e-cards.
